FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT IN

BRITAIN’S UNIQUE MAGAZINE

OF THEATRE NOSTALGIA

(Autumn Edition No. 15)

Greetings to all our fans in the UK and the  USA

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

We cannot wait for you to see this great Edition of your cherished magazine which now has a ‘New Look’ and extra colour pages so that everything becomes ‘alive’ and you can just soak in the atmosphere. It is all very exciting, and we know you will feel involved in what we do.

You will feel moments of joy and sadness as we reveal what enthusiasts are achieving to save and improve their local theatres, and also witness the closure of one theatre where the audience and staff were reduced to tears at the Finale; and another where supporters have learned that it will soon ‘bite the dust.’ We also have a special section looking at some of Britain’s theatres ‘At Risk’ with some poignant pictures of what might have been.

(Do make sure you purchase a copy as you are witnessing history taking place. How will future generations know what is happening?)

One of the things which is so enjoyable in the magazine is our links with so many entertainers ‘in the business’, many of whom are Patrons of OLD THEATRES magazine.  And in this Issue we learn how Impressionist Peter Goodwright got through the formalities for his first night ‘treading the boards’ and we recall the magic of London’s Collins music hall with some rare pictures to accompany it.

Midland readers will also be delighted to see the history of Birmingham’s Aston Hippodrome unfold from its very beginnings to its final demolition and we go on stage at a major South Coast theatre which has massive space for every type of production.

All our regular features continue with much to hold your attention, and maybe, as potential subscribers, to get in touch with us, preferably by E Mail: oldtheatres@googlemail.com

You will be made very welcome.

To purchase a copy of the latest Edition (No.15) which contains over 100 pictures, many in full colour, and more than 50 pages:
